Erasmus IP: Glocalizing Development, August 3 - 17, 2014
News created - 15.02.2013

This summer you are invited to explore a broad and unusual topic entitled ’’Glocalizing Development:  Development Perspectives of Rural Regions and Small Towns in a Globalized World’’. Join us and learn more about this complex topic and make new friends as you discover the beautiful Latvian countryside together.

Experienced and pragmatic teachers will come together from seven well known universities to speak about a range of factors such as political changes, interdependence of national economies across the world, technological innovation, expansion of media, intercultural dialogue, identity modification and cluster development that contribute to glocalization. Together with you these teachers will create a varied and unforgettable learning programme.

During our time together, we will go beyond the theory and bring it to life with examples, excursions, expert opinions, workshops as well as group and individual exercises. This experience will provide you with an insight into this fascinating topic and provide you with an opportunity to view it from a number of different angles and form your own view on this highly relevant subject.
